Colour families
Tones are grouped into families, so a shopper looking for nudes or reds starts in the right neighbourhood instead of the whole range.
Alix Avien Web
For Turkish beauty brand Alix Avien, we built a layer on top of their Shopify theme that helps shoppers pick the right tone faster.

A lipstick can come in many tones, and on a phone they all look alike in a dropdown. Shoppers on alixavien.com.tr had to scroll, guess and compare from memory, and the chosen tone vanished from view the moment they moved down the page.
We worked inside the store's own Shopify theme and added a layer that groups tones into colour families, puts the most-picked shades first and lays lipstick tones out as a swatch grid. The chosen tone follows the shopper in a sticky bar.
Tones are grouped into families, so a shopper looking for nudes or reds starts in the right neighbourhood instead of the whole range.
The tones other shoppers choose most are shown first, which gives a hesitant buyer a sensible place to start.
On lipstick pages every tone sits in a grid of swatches, so the whole range is visible at once, even on a phone.
The chosen tone stays on screen in a sticky bar, the title sits where mobile eyes land, and the gallery filters to that tone.

layer on every product page
It runs on every product page of the live store, on top of the existing theme rather than replacing it.
